Please allow up to 3 business days of handling time for us to prepare these to order.

DO NOT buy this product until you have a fully colonised grain spawn or an all-in-one bag. This product is intended to be used upon arrival.

Very rough guide:
20-24 Litre tub accommodates 2kg (Grain + Substrate)
30-45 Litre tub accommodates 3 - 3.5kg (Grain + Substrate)
45-60 Litre tub accommodates 4 - 5kg (Grain + Substrate)
We recommend 50% Substrate to 50% Grain spawn ratio.
We use organic Wheat bran and Hardwood Sawdust along with Hardwood chips. When mycelium comes in contact with woodchips while growing they become really Vigorous. Resulting in thicker and faster colonisation.
Your bags are made to order; please allow three days of handling time.

How to avoid contamination:

Take the bags out of their packaging as soon as possible, and keep them at room temperature, away from direct cold/heat sources. The bags need to breathe and should not be kept where there is no free airflow. Keeping the bag in a closed environment will result in anaerobic contaminants thriving and making the bag mouldy.
We recommend that the bags be used as soon as possible to minimise the chances of contamination.
Work in front of a flow hood or a still air box using a completely sterile workspace.
Mix at least 15% grain spawn or higher of your desired species and mix it thoroughly in the bag and let it colonise.
Incubate at 24°C in a dark spot and keep all the bags at a distance from each other to avoid excess heat, which leads to contamination. A temperature lower than 24°C makes mycelium grow slowly, which could give a chance to competing organisms to flourish. Temperature above 24°C favours competing for organisms than fungi which increases likely hood of contamination.
Once inoculated, agitate when 30-50% colonised with clean hands and do not touch the air filter or make the air filter wet.
