This unique walking stick features a shaft of Coolibah and a knob style handle of Mulga with its characteristic contrasting light and dark bands. The decorative stripping consists of a centre band of Purple-heart with bands of Jacaranda above and below.

What we mean by this is that the individual characteristics of the timber such as knots and cracks become a feature, specifically, of the handle. The Japanese have a word for this type of natural imperfection called wabi-sabi and it is most highly prized because it is organic and carries the life and history of that piece of timber. The shafts while still exhibiting beautiful figuring in the timber, are all solid and uniform in grain, providing solid and reliable support.
