About Australian Woodwork
Australian Woodwork is a family-run business that specializes in selling exquisite woodwork crafted by Australia's finest designer/makers using sustainable, native Australian timbers.
Sixteen years ago, Gregory White and Sarah Davidson started Australian Woodwork by setting up a stall at the Rocks Markets in Sydney. They had a vision to bring together the beautiful Australian woodcraft they had seen in their travels through various country galleries. Recognizing the abundance of skill and artistry that existed within the local artisan community, they knew that their offerings would also appeal to international markets. In 2000, they opened their flagship store at Sydney's Darling Harbour, followed by their Hunter Valley Gallery in 2005. Today, they continue to operate an online shop that showcases the same exquisite products made by the talented woodworkers they have collaborated with over the years.
Australia is home to some of the world's finest timbers, renowned for their beauty, durability, and diverse colour, grain, and hardness. Our extensive range of products includes a wide variety of homewares, from turned wooden bowls, chopping boards, and salt & pepper mills to jewellery boxes, chess sets, hand-carved birds, writing pens, and rocking horses. Each piece is crafted using traditional techniques, combined with modern technology. Our products are designed with contemporary aesthetics in mind, ensuring their longevity, durability, and potential to become the antiques of the future.
