Marcus Accessories Box Tree Lid

With a nod to both Danish and Japanese design, these elegant boxes personify the modern style; no frills or fancy stuff just perfect proportion and clean lines. The subtle details in the making of this box have been carefully considered and are there for a purpose, the scallops in the base for strength while the scallop on the side locates your thumb for lifting the lid. The basic construction is done by hand using many layers of precision laser-cut wood veneers formed into their perfectly round shapes. The timber used for the round sides is American Cherry, not a native Australian timber but there are no local alternatives available for this type of construction which is completely hand-made in Brisbane, Australia. The lid is MDF, a compressed timber product, with a black foil overlay and has been laser engraved with a classic Japanese blossom design. This box is almost pretty enough to just sit and look good but can be utilised for many storage purposes; computer and phone accessories, sewing, precious keepsakes or any special collection plus it comes boxed for the perfect gift.
