Marcus Box Flowering Gum

This elegant box personifies modern style. The lid features a print of an original painting by Adrienne Williams, a landscape artist from Queensland, and captures dreamy images of a flowering gum. The subtle details in the making of this box have been carefully considered and are there for a purpose: the scallops in the base for strength, while the scallop on the side locates your thumb for lifting the lid.

The basic construction is done by hand using many layers of precision laser-cut wood veneers formed into their perfectly round shapes. The timber used for the round sides is American Cherry, not a native Australian timber, but there are no local alternatives available for this type of construction, which is completely handmade in Brisbane, Australia. The lid is MDF, a compressed timber product that provides a perfect base for the artwork.

This box is almost pretty enough to simply display, but it can be utilised for many storage purposes such as computer and phone accessories, sewing items, precious keepsakes, or any special collection. It also comes boxed, making it a perfect gift.
