Family Business Australia and the Australian Made Campaign are calling on businesses around the country to promote their heritage and contribution to their local communities in the lead up to Family Business Day.
Australian Made Campaign Partner Oz-Town will launch the first five of its showrooms in China in September 2015.
Beginning on the 15th of August, Australian Made Campaign Retail Supporter, Premium Australia Foods (PAF), will begin a major ecommerce campaign promoting Australian-made products to the Chinese market online, via the high-profile Chinese platform SFHT.
The Australian Made Campaign enthusiastically welcomes the agreement by the country’s political leaders to broaden the GST to cover overseas online transactions worth less than $1000.
The Australian Made Campaign has welcomed the Government’s proposed new country-of-origin labelling system for food, which will for the first time incorporate a bar chart showing what proportion of ingredients come from Australia, and will also include – for those products made and grown in Australia – the Australian Made, Australian Grown kangaroo logo.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) recently became the first Western media outlet to be given approval to register and run a Chinese web portal within China, AustraliaPlus.cn. The highly recognised and trusted Australian Made, Australian Grown logo is being used to help promote the portal.
The first in a series of Australian Made 'Brand Power' advertisements has been created in conjunction with the Buchanan Group. The ALDI commercials are currently running nationally, and feature some of the supermarket's most popular Australian Made products.
In 2015, the Fine Food Awards will again include an Australian Made Award, which will be granted to the best new Australian Made product at the exhibition. Judged by the Fine Food Australia judging panel in collaboration with the Australian Made team, the winner will receive a promotional package worth up to $20,000*.
Entries are now open for the 53rd annual national Australian Export Awards. 2015 marks the 16th consecutive year that Australian Made has proudly sponsored the Manufacturing category of the Australian Export Awards; and all associated with the Australian Made logo are very proud of that.
