Building our vertically integrated supply chain from farm to finished product for merino wool completely contradicts the more common industry approach where Australian merino wool is exported and rarely seen until it returns from China or Italy as a finished product. Innovation, new products, and value gets created elsewhere. Getting our yarns knitted and dyed here in Australia before finishing our fabrics and making our garments remains our core focus. This connects our growers, production processes, and you the customer with final products that support your outdoor passions.

AUSTRALIAN ORIGINS
Founded in the sheep yards of our family farm in Guyra – NSW. Bluey Merino was born out of a simple question: ‘What happens to our wool when it leaves the farm? Australia has the highest quality premium Merino wool in the world, yet most is exported offshore instead of being made into products locally. When most outdoor brands moved their manufacturing offshore, Bluey Merino continued to make its garments here at home and is proudly Australian-made and owned.

SINGLE SOURCE FIBRE
The most important factor in the way we manufacture our garments is the origin and selection of our single-source fibres. While all Merino wool is not the same, we pride ourselves on sourcing ethical Australian Merino wool that is consistent, insanely comfortable, and grown in alignment with our company values.
