Please note, this Pelican cannot be shipped express overnight; This sculpture is made to order and will take a week to ship.

"A wondrous bird is the Pelican, his beak can hold more than his belly can", a poem that so aptly describes this much-loved resident of Australia's waterways. Represented here as "Pelican Standing Tall" this carving has all of the unique character and personality typical of Pelicans and those eyes just make you want to smile. The body of the bird is made from sustainable, beautifully figured Camphor Laurel and the head from resin, the whole hand-carved with the head delicately hand-painted. In this standing 'to attention' pose, he is very easy to fall in love with.
