AlphaFit Rig Attached Monolift Pair offers greater functionality to your AlphaFit rig or cage setup. This heavy-duty strength accessory provides a safer and more comfortable way for athletes to un-rack and rack the barbell during exercises such as heavy squats or bench presses. By removing the need to to walk the bar out from the rack or clear J-Hooks in the barbells path, a monolift eliminates the hazardous elements of a squat setup, making the movement safer and more efficient.
Commonly used by powerlifters attempting max or near-max lifts, a monolift attachment can also be used for strength or rehabilitation training. It mitigates the risk of injury by eliminating the need to reposition with the weighted barbell. When the bar is loaded and sitting on the hooks, the arms will automatically move away from the upright. As the user takes the weight of the bar, the arms retract allowing the barbell to clear the hooks during the vertical motion of the exercise. To re-rack, the user simply leans in or guides the bar back onto the hooks.
The AlphaFit Rig Attached Monolift Pair is designed to have a hook swing of 143mm and a generous barbell clearance of 70mm. In addition, AlphaFit's attachment features a limiting bolt to help reduce the arms from swinging individually when the barbell is racked. The bolt can be removed to offer another 35mm (105mm total) of barbell clearance if preferred. Another key point of difference is the integrated selector pins which allow the user to lock the monolift arms in their stowed position so they can be used as traditional J-Hooks.
AlphaFit’s design uses a spring-loaded system instead of the typical counterweight arm as it reduces the overall size and weight of the individual attachments. Unlike other bolt-on versions, this Rig Attached Monolift is quickly and easily adjusted to each user's desired height in 50mm increments up and down the rack's uprights without the need for tools. With safety in mind, AlphaFit's patent-pending Latch Pin provides intuitive ease of use and solid stability while performing different exercises. Once the Latch Pin is pushed into place the safety is automatically employed reducing the risk of injury to the user from an unsecured attachment.
Lined with large HDPE inserts, the barbell is protected across a 135mm vertical range on each monolift arm. Additionally, the attachments feature small plastic inserts which help protect your upright at all contact points. If your liners begin to wear over time, you can simply replace the HDPE insert without needing to purchase an entirely new attachment.
