In August, Australian Made Industry Partner Screen Producers Australia (SPA) launched its second ‘Make It Australian’ campaign television commercial, inspired by the classic 1997 Australian comedy The Castle.
The commercial, titled ‘Serenity’, is the second in a series of four produced to support SPA’s call for streaming platforms to have a minimum investment level of Australian content.
Matthew Deaner, CEO of SPA, said if streaming platforms committed a 20% minimum spend of their local revenue on new Australian content, it would create up to 10,000 ongoing new local jobs.
SPA supports the interests of large and small screen businesses in their production of Australian feature films, television programs, interactive content and games across all genres and formats.
