Do you have an Australian Made and Owned product you would like to promote at the Sydney Royal Easter Show? The RAS Foundation is asking companies to donate non-perishable food items for inclusion in the popular AG Bag at the 2023 Sydney Royal Easter Show (6th – 17th April).

The popular AG Bag is a celebration of Aussie-grown produce and products. Every cent raised by the AG Bag goes directly to the RAS Foundation Community Futures Grant program. The grants encourage and champion rural leadership by providing each successful grant applicant up to $25,000 to fund a community project addressing a need or issue in their local community. Once completed, these projects enhance positive social and economic outcomes for the wider community. In the 2022 Royal Easter Show, the AG Bag raised over $60,000, thanks to the generous contribution of the Show-goers.

Being part of the 2023 AG Bag is an opportunity for your company or brand to be part of a fantastic grass-roots initiative that supports Australian agriculture and gives back to rural and regional communities. The donated product could be surplus stock or a new product you wish to promote.

Benefits of being part of the AG Bag for 2023 include:

  • Giving back to rural and regional communities
  • Participating in an all-Australian made and owned bag
  • Supporting a fantastic grass-roots initiative
  • Exposure of your company and/or brand
  • Logo recognition at the AG Bag stall along with large product displays
  • Opportunity to include your flyer in the AG Bag Showbag
  • Promoting participation in this worthwhile initiative through your organisation’s communication channels

The AG Bag will be promoted:

  • At the Sydney Royal Easter Show Media Preview Day
  • On the Sydney Royal Easter Show Showbag page on the website and App
  • In Sydney Royal Easter Show communications including press releases, Bush Telegraph online news, and social platforms including Facebook and Twitter
  • On Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) and RAS Foundation social platforms, including Facebook and Twitter
  • In RAS members’ e-news
  • In RAS Councillor’s news/communications.

Product criteria for the Ag Bag:

  • Products must be non-perishable
  • Products must be made in Australia by Australian-owned companies
  • The requested product donation is 2,600 units
  • Products should be no bigger than A5 (15 x 21 cm)
  • Products must have at least three months left on the use-by date (i.e. until at least 30th July 2023)
  • Donations must be delivered to Sydney Showground between Monday 13th – Monday 27th February 2023

In 2022, the AG Bag contained a popular mix of products, including popular Australian brands such as SunRice, Bega, Vetta Pasta, Healthy Baker, OzPets and Carmans, to name a few items.

The AG Bag stall is located in the famous Home and Lifestyle Pavilion and is promoted on the Sydney Royal Easter Show digital and social platforms. In 2022, it received coverage in 2GB Mornings with Mark Levy during the 3-day 2GB outside broadcast from the Show, the ABC Country Hour and The Land, among others.
