The Australian Made, Australian Grown logo was centre stage at China International Import Expo (CIIE) in November 2020, providing effective country of origin branding for four trade stands of Australian Made Partners, Oz-Town Australia, Coles and Woolworths.
Showcasing a wide range of genuine Australian-made products, each of these trade stands leveraged the reputation of the famous green and gold kangaroo to further enhance their Aussie offering and leverage Australia’s reputation as a producer of premium, high-quality and safe products.
In addition to the trade stand branding, the Australian Made Campaign Limited (AMCL) also provided a range of content to help educate the visiting trade audience on the meaning and value of the Australian Made logo as a genuine country of origin identifier.
AMCL’s partnership with Oz-Town extended to supporting 22 brands whose Australian products carry the Australian Made logo. Oz-Town also assisted with targeted business matching opportunities with the Hunan Province. As a result of this and other business introductions, 20 Memoranda of Understanding were signed at the trade show.
CIIE is an import-themed national-level expo hosted by the Ministry of Commerce for the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. Since its inauguration in 2018, it has become an important tool for companies to demonstrate the strength of their commitment to China.
