Australian Made Campaign Chief Executive, Ian Harrison, spoke to manufacturers regarding country-of-origin branding at the National Association for Manufacturing Excellence Conference last week, explaining how manufacturers could leverage this as a powerful marketing tool.
The Australian Made, Australian Grown logo is the most effective country-of-origin branding tool available to businesses manufacturing in Australia, because it is Australia’s only registered country-of-origin certification trade mark. According to Roy Morgan Research, it is recognised by 98% of Australians, and 88% trust it to identify genuine Aussie products.
Manufacturers from a wide range of industries attended the conference, which was held in Melbourne and Perth from 24-28 February.
The conference aimed to equip manufacturers with tools and techniques to help them remain competitive in a rapidly changing business environment.
It was clear from the discussion following Mr Harrison’s presentation that country-of-origin branding is becoming an increasingly important advantage in the marketplace.
