Green Smoothie

Want to join the green smoothie revolution? This is the recipe to get you on board! While it might not look very appetising the health benefits are great and it’s packed full of fruit and veg. The best thing to get you going in the morning. Pic via @thecherievardyexperiment Instagram

 

Preparation and cooking time

10 minutes

 

Serves

Makes 2 large smoothies

 

Ingredients

2 cups fresh spinach

2 cups almond milk, unsweetened

1 large apple (any variety) cored and chopped up

1 banana cut into small pieces

⅓ cup rolled oats

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tbsp Vital greens powder

 

**It's best to use frozen fruit to make your smoothie cold. Freeze it overnight for best results otherwise throw some ice into the blender to cool it down. 

 

Method

  • Blend spinach and almond milk until smooth
  • Add remaining ingredients, and blend again. 
  • Serve and enjoy!
