Family owned and operated, Wynstan has been in the business of supplying Australian homeowners with beautiful Australian Made blinds, doors, shutters and awnings since 1968.

As Australia’s longest standing, trusted manufacturer of custom window and door fashions and weaving three generations of family history into its success – Wynstan is renowned for its bright pink stores and the famous radio jingle of ‘Wynstan with a Y’.

Wynstan Founder and Managing Director, Bruce Turner, started the family business in Sydney, originally as experts in security systems. The brand has since evolved into a global phenomenon, expanding across 31 showrooms in New South Wales and Victoria, as well as 5 showrooms in Los Angeles.

“Today we employ over 450 staff and contractors and continue to innovate and invest in keeping manufacturing and operations here in Australia. As a family owned and operated business, we strive to ensure the quality of our products and customer service is second to none,” said Mr Turner.

A major focus for Wynstan is to provide the highest quality product on the market, with products designed to last and withstand the tough Aussie conditions, and all backed by a generous warranty.

Mr Turner said, “Manufacturing our products here in Australia allows us to be nimble. It provides us the opportunity to ensure the quality of workmanship and materials being used are to a standard that we would be satisfied seeing in our own home. Manufacturing locally also enables us to adapt and create custom products for every home, whilst continuing to support local jobs and the local economy.”

Looking to diversify its offerings, the Turner family have recently ventured into new avenues with Wynstan, including the manufacturing of locally made face masks and coverings.

“Wynstan Health harnesses the skills and manufacturing capabilities of Wynstan to bring to life a wide variety of disposable surgical masks. These masks are now stocked in leading Australian chemists including Priceline and Blooms the Chemist as well as hospitals across the country; positively protecting Aussies on the front line and within the community while also protecting the manufacturing industry and jobs behind the scenes,” Mr Turner said.

“As a proud Aussie business, the Australian Made logo is the perfect fit for our brand,” Mr Turner explained. “We use the iconic green and gold kangaroo logo on Wynstan products to celebrate all it means to be authentically Aussie. The logo’s ability to resonate and reassure customers that their purchases are genuinely Australian Made is one of its major benefits, whilst its ability to set us apart from competitors in the industry is also a great strength.”

“Here at Wynstan, we are proud of our Australian credentials. We look forward to working with Aussie families into the future, as we continue to be the go-to brand for custom made blinds, security doors, awnings, and shutters for Aussie homes.”
