Located in the City of Joondalup in northern Perth, Betta Roads is a family-owned and operated company that has supplied soil stabilising products across Western Australia for over 17 years. With its PolyCom Stabilising Aid and Dustchek products used in many government, private and mining projects, Betta Roads has become renowned for its effectiveness and specialised earthworks solutions.
After working in the civil construction industry for 22 years, Director Paul Bright was first introduced to PolyCom Stabilising Aid at a Mining Expo in Perth. Intrigued by the properties of the soil stabilisation product, Paul then visited an earthworks project in the West MacDonnell Ranges in Central Australia, where he saw the product in action. Today, Paul continues to promote the efficacy and use of this Australian manufactured Polymer technology throughout Western Australia.
Proudly manufactured in South Australia, Betta Roads’ products are Polyacrylamide PAM based and designed to preserve the dry-strength of road materials found in earthworks. They are easy to apply, can treat more material than traditional binders and are a more sustainable option. Traditional binders produce 2,000kg of CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process, while Betta Roads’ PolyCom products produce only 3.14kg CO2 per 2kg of product.
The continued efficacy and positive involvement of Betta Roads’ products in government projects have gained the company a Western Australia Local Government Supplier status, a position as a Local Government Works Association Member, and the Department of Health approval for use in water catchment areas.
Paul Bright said he is proud to carry the Australian Made logo on Betta Roads products, connecting the green and gold kangaroo with quality, reliability and sustainability. “It’s important to us that our clients know our products are designed and manufactured here in Australia. We know for a fact that our products are of high quality because we can see the entire manufacturing process for ourselves. This keeps us accountable and means we can offer a higher level of service, since the supply is right here. We don’t believe there is any other product that can offer the same level of performance,” he said.
“Having the Australian Made logo communicates to our customers that we are environmentally focussed and sustainability minded. Manufacturing locally not only means that we can avoid supply shortages, it also lowers emissions, which our clients do appreciate. We’re very proud to carry to the logo as we work with earthworks projects from here in Joondalup to all across Western Australia.”
