Teeny Teddy Biscuits

The perfect snack for a teddy bears picnic, or a fun day out! Thanks to the team at Tambo Teddies for this delightful recipe.

Ingredients

  • 80g butter, cubed
  • 2 tbs cocoa powder
  • 100g sugar
  • 40g honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 170g plain flour
  • 65g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp bi carb soda

Method

  1. Gently combine butter, sugar, honey and vanilla into a bowl. Transfer to a saucepan over medium heat, and mix until melted.

  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix until well combined.

  3. Place dough onto a silicon mat or powdered surface and leave to cool for around 5 minutes.

  4. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line two large baking trays with baking paper.

  5. Take the cooled dough and roll into a thin rectangle, about 2mm in thickness.

  6. Using a teddy-shaped cutter, cut your biscuits from the dough. Place teddy biscuits on the lined baking tray.

  7. Roll the remaining dough out again and cut as many biscuits as you can. If the dough has cooled too much, you can microwave for 15-30 seconds.

  8. Bake for 5 minutes in the oven, watching carefully so they don’t burn.

  9. Take your baked teeny teddy biscuits out for a picnic and enjoy with a furry friend from Tambo Teddies! The biscuits can be stored in an airtight glass container for up to two weeks.
