Versatile, easy to prepare and tastes delicious. For a twist, leave the apple skins on or add some wholesome nuts like walnuts, pecans or macadamias.
Method
- Mix sugar, eggs, vanilla and then add oil until completely blended. Sift dry ingredients. Mix in with egg mixture with a wooden spoon Add apples and nuts, mix with a wooden spoon.
- Grease and flour a cake pan and add batter. Bake in 180° oven for 1 ¼ hours or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Decorate with a drizzle of simple white icing and top with extra nuts.
