Description
When used before bed, studies have shown that our Peaceful Sleep blend will not only help you fall asleep, but also improve the overall quality of rest.
Health Benefits
Serves to relax and calm the sympathetic nervous system. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the sympathetic nervous system is related to the expansive, fiery ‘Yang’ energy. When our sympathetic nervous system is over-stimulated, agitation and poor sleep can be experienced.
Studies with the inhalation of small quantities of essential oils such as True Lavender have demonstrated that both REM (‘’rapid eye movement’’ or dream sleep) and non-REM sleep are positively improved, leading to a refreshing sleep in the case of mild insomnia. Common sleep medications, such as benzodiazepine drugs, are powerful, but they disturb REM sleep, often leading to grogginess and ‘’hangover’’ the following day, as well as leading to dependence if over-used.
What's in the Essential Oil?
True Lavender New Zealand | Geranium, Petitgrain (Bitter Orange leaf) and Ylang Ylang | Lemon Myrtle | Valerian and Vetiver | Eucalyptus Australiana | Expeller-pressed Mandarin.
