Sailors and Seekers is a small-batch jewellery brand based in the scenic Macedon Ranges of Victoria. Every piece is handcrafted in-house by Jalvi, the founder, designer, and maker, with help from Moka, his rottweiler apprentice. With deep roots in a lineage of Indian goldsmiths and a background in tech and global eCommerce, Jalvi blends heritage and innovation into meaningful sterling silver pieces.
After spending years in the corporate world, a personal tragedy sparked a shift. Jalvi left his job to build something closer to the heart. What began in a garage workshop has grown into a deeply personal brand that celebrates slow making, storytelling, and soul. The result is jewellery that doesn’t just look good, it feels like it belongs to your journey.
Each item is made in small batches using Australian-sourced materials and recycled silver wherever possible. Jalvi casts during the day using rooftop solar power to keep the carbon footprint minimal. Tools are often sourced from Facebook Marketplace to avoid new manufacturing impact. Because everything’s made in-house, there’s no mass import or third-party warehousing. Sustainability isn’t a marketing gimmick here, it’s part of how things are done.
Collections like Karma and Surf Coast reflect two sides of Jalvi’s world. Karma leans into symbolism and spirituality, with designs like Shiva’s Third Eye and mantra-inscribed rings. Surf Coast draws from Australia’s rugged beaches and surf culture with motifs like swallows, compass points, and broken hammers. The jewellery carries dents, marks, and oxidised textures that speak of journeys made and stories lived.
Beyond the jewellery, Sailors and Seekers is about sharing the real behind-the-scenes. Jalvi documents the business openly on YouTube, showing both the wins and mistakes to help others chasing their own creative dreams. That honesty builds trust. Customers aren’t just buying a product, they’re buying into a story.
With a 5-star rating on Etsy and dozens of happy customers across Australia and overseas, the brand continues to grow through word of mouth, honest storytelling, and a commitment to quality. There are no factories, no big teams, and no fluff. Just one bloke, his dog, a bench, and a torch.
Every piece is made to order, wrapped by hand, and shipped with care. Whether it’s a ring engraved with a loved one’s name or a pendant shaped like a nail to remind you you’ve survived tough days, Sailors and Seekers makes jewellery that matters.
This isn’t fast fashion. It’s slow, intentional, and proudly Australian made.
