After close to 20 years running a successful graphic design studio in Richmond VIC, Matt and I decided back in 2011 that we wanted a big change and a move away from multinational clients, staff payroll and commercial agents & landlords.
Our core business now is the digital restoration and reproduction of retro images so that people from all walks of life can enjoy these wonderful designs.
We created our first range of greeting cards featuring meticulously restored retro images back in 2012 and found great success selling them through our own retail venture and to wholesale customers located across Australia and New Zealand.
In 2014 we added a range of prints to our collection. It's funny when you look back at things but I remember being so proud of our efforts when we hung all 14 (!!!) designs on a wall in our Red Hill shop. Since then we have expanded considerably and we now offer a rapidly growing range of top quality giclée prints in a variety of sizes with framing and canvas options.
Linen tea towels were added later in 2014 and there's something really lovely about a) printing tea towels right here in Australia on a quality linen blend fabric and b) even though I complain I actually really enjoy sitting and folding a few thousand tea towels several times a year. There's something quite soothing about working with material ... and to be honest I don't mind watching something vaguely vacuous at the same time.
We introduced a range of pure linen cushion covers in August 2021 and a recyclable, eco-friendly jigsaw puzzle collection in September 2021. We have a few more ideas for 2022 which is a bit exciting so stay tuned.
As always these new collections are manufactured here in Australia by carefully chosen small-business suppliers who are as pedantic about quality as we are and who are on the same wavelength morally and ethically.
