The Platypus Sprinkler became a reality in 2012 after a need was identified for a sprinkler design that was based around ember protection as part of a bushfire plan for residential homes and public buildings etc.
The design has been based around efficient water usage, a spray pattern which encourages water droplets of a size which are less wind affected that are sprayed downwards and a device being made of high quality materials to ensure reliable operation. And so “The Platypus Sprinkler" was born.
