Regulator A® is an APVMA registered plant growth regulator containing paclobutrazol which induces a controlled end point to the vegetative growth phase. Paclobutrazol inhibits plant cell elongation and reduces internodal spacing by mitigating the effects of the natural plant hormone gibberellic acid. In response to this halted vertical growth, plants increase their lateral branching. Regulator A® should be used to halt vertical growth and induce lateral growth, prior to the use of Regulator B® which halts lateral growth and induces flowering. Recommended for horticultural and agricultural uses.
