NaturoBest Birth Prep & Recovery is formulated using two herbs with a long history of traditional use in Western Herbal Medicine. They have been traditionally used to prepare the body and uterus for childbirth and labour as well as to assist the body to recover after birth. Raspberry leaf and squaw vine act as uterine tonics, their astringent properties may help the body to tighten tissues which may assist in the recovery of the uterus after birth. Raspberry leaf has been shown to decrease the second stage of labour, also known as the pushing stage by 9.6 minutes when taken at a dose of 1.2grams twice per day (the dose found in NaturoBest Birth Prep & Recovery) from 32 weeks of pregnancy. Squaw vine is traditionally used to facilitate and prepare for labour and is used in the last trimester of pregnancy.
