Hello and welcome

We are Maxine & Mike Shea, proud founders of our family-run Australian business, Hemp Collective based in Northern Rivers NSW.

We have been running Hemp Collective for 5 years where we started growing hemp in the first few years, then created our successful Hair & Body care range and have now have created our range of sustainable Pet Products - Pet Shampoo Bar, Pet Balance Hemp and Chia Seed supplement oils, Pet Balms and Horse Shampoo Bar.

Hemp Collective started from our own need for natural solutions. Our journey with hemp started when our son was one and Maxine was diagnosed with a rare TSH non-cancerous brain tumour & after an arduous and exhausting 9-month recovery from brain surgery, the tumour began to quickly grow back.

It’s then we realised some of the products we thought were safe were actually doing more harm than good & in our research, the hemp/cannabis plant kept coming up time and time again. It was then we realised that we wanted to share this amazing plant with others - that’s when Hemp Collective was born!

Our mission goes so much further than our amazing eco-product range. With a background in Zero Waste and Resource Recovery, we know first-hand how waste impacts society, and it is our mission ‘To make our products part of the solution, not part of the problem.’
