We grow our Calendula flowers all year round on our permaculture farm, than infuse them into Certified organic olive oil, the old fashion way.I than blend the oil into the Locally collected and low heated beeswax from Tony bee, again the good old fashion way so there is still honey in there.
Calendula flowers are known for there antiseptic properties, i love it as a lip balm, great for a barrier on babies bottoms, dry heels, elbows and also narly finger tips and hands.
This ointment is where my whole journey started, my daughter Gemma was suffering terribly from eczema on the neck, it was dry and itchy poor kid. By applying the Calendula ointment it really helped keep the area moist and stopped the skin from drying it out, she stopped scratching too, i think it was due to eczema tightening the skin that increases the need to scratch so therefore our Calendula ointment helped to ease the tightness and dryness.
