Bamstone

In 1975, A basalt stone source was identified in the volcanic lava flow between Mount Rouse and the coast of Port Fairy in Victoria’s south-west by Don & Yvonne Bartlett. Over 300,00 years, landscapes shaped through lava flows colliding, overlapping and building have formed the fine-grained igneous basalt we call bluestone. Nowhere else in the world will you find a stone as immense in its strength, durability and timeless, eternal beauty; every piece unique, yet bound by such qualities.

Bamstone is the largest bluestone processing facility in the southern hemisphere. Extending over four decades and three generations, we have continued to source the same sustainable basalt supply, distributing Victorian bluestone products in a variety of finishes throughout Australia and around the world. Made to order, we recognise that every project is unique, and are committed to the delivery of expertise to ensure the best outcomes for all project goals.
