VIATRIS TM is a new global healthcare company formed in November 2020 through the combination of Mylan and Upjohn, a legacy division of Pfizer. Viatris is the largest local manufacturer and supplier by volume of prescription tablets and capsules to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. Viatris and its forerunners, Mylan and Alphapharm, have been manufacturing in Australia since 1982, investing millions of dollars in the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Carole Park. About 600 of Viatris’ 800 employees nationally work in manufacturing, each year producing more than 3 billion tablets and capsules in 450 different formulations for the local and some 40 export markets around the world. Our product portfolio includes generic and biosimilar medicines, branded medicines, and over the counter products.
