Are you an Australian-owned company with an Australian-made product that you would like to directly promote at the Sydney Royal Easter Show?

The RAS Foundation is again putting together their Showbag, The Ag Bag, and seeking companies to donate non-perishable food items.

With a prime position in the Home & Lifestyle Pavilion at the Show, the bag and its contents are exposed to millions of people in the lead up to, during and after the Show via social media, tv, radio and at the Show itself.

Promoted as the ‘bag that gives back’, all proceeds from the bag go toward community projects in New South Wales. The Ag Bag is a great opportunity for businesses to launch a new product or donate an end of line brand to support rural and regional communities.

Benefits of being part of the Ag Bag for 2020 include:

  • giving back to rural and regional communities
  • participating in an all-Australian made/Australian owned bag
  • supporting an amazing grass-roots initiative
  • exposure of your company and/or brand
  • logo recognition at the Ag Bag stall along with large product displays
  • opportunity to include your flyer in the Ag Bag Showbag
  • promoting participation in this worthwhile initiative through your organisation’s communication channels

The Ag Bag will be promoted:

  • at the Sydney Royal Easter Show Media Preview Day
  • on the Sydney Royal Easter Show Showbag page on the website and App
  • in Sydney Royal Easter Show communications including press releases, Bush Telegraph online news, social platforms including Facebook and Twitter
  • on Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) social platforms including Facebook and Twitter
  • in RAS members’ e-news
  • in RAS Councillor’s news/communications

Product criteria for the Ag Bag:

  • Products must be non-perishable
  • Products must be made in Australia (and Australian-owned companies will be given preference)
  • The requested product donation is 3,100 units
  • Products should be no bigger than A5 (15 x 21 cm), no heavier than 250g or 250ml
  • Products must have at least 3 months left on the use by date (i.e. until at least 30th July 2020)
  • Goods must be able to be delivered to Sydney Showground by COB Monday, 2nd March 2020

The proceeds from the sales of the 2019 Ag Bag benefitted the communities of Narromine, Forbes, Mudgee, Dalgety, Nabiac, Bellata & Merriwa, ranging from Agricultural Educational Trailers for Forbes and Mudgee to horse yards for Dalgety Showground and portable cattle yards for Narromine High School.

RAS Foundation Community Grants are awarded to community groups who can show a need in their local town that needs addressing for the benefit of the wider community.

For further information about the Ag Bag or to donate a product, please contact Cecilia Logan (02 9704 1226) or Maria Gioffre (02 9704 1232) or email foundation@rasf.org.au.
