The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) Foundation’s annual Australian-made Ag Bag was a hit at this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show, raising $52,500 for community projects across rural and regional NSW.
Promoted as the ‘bag that gives back’, the Ag Bag is an excellent opportunity for businesses to promote its Australian-made products to the show’s 800,000 visitors and help support rural and regional communities.
With a prime position in the Home & Lifestyle Pavilion, the bag and its contents were exposed to millions of people in the lead-up to, during and after the show via social media, tv, radio.
This year, Australian-made products were kindly donated by SunRice, Kurrajong Kitchens, Carman’s Kitchen, Seasol, Thank A Farmer, Manildra, Royston Petrie Seeds, Landcare NSW, Rural Adversity Mental Health Program, Wine Selectors, Rinoldi (Vetta Pasta), Karma Rub, Slim Secrets, Oz Pet, Freedom Foods, CanAssist, Maxiblock, Birdsnest and Rich Glen Olive Oil.
The Ag Bags were a major hit selling out by Sunday. The Governor of NSW, The Hon. Margaret Beazley and her husband Mr Dennis Wilson, the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Minister Adam Marshall, Minister Bronwyn Taylor, Minister David Littleproud and Senator Perin Davey, as well as TV favourite Catriona Rowntree, were all spotted purchasing one!
Next year the RAS Foundation’s will celebrate its 200th year and are looking to create a super special Ag Bag for the 2022 Show. Keep an eye on our licensee newsletter later in the year for more information on how to get involved.
The RAS Foundation thanks Australian Made licensees for their support.
