This year, Fashion Revolution Day will be held on the 24th of April. The 'revolution' uses social media to spread the very important message about supporting locally made, ethical fashion, by encouraging consumers to turn their clothes inside out and ask the question ‘who made my clothes?’.
How to get involved
If you are an Australian Made licensee and you manufacture clothing or accessories in Australia:
The Fashion Revolution Day team want to hear from you. They are looking for businesses they can profile in the media and on social media, to help remind consumers about the 'faces behind the fashion'. If you think you have a unique story to tell, send your contact details along with a short summary and a selection of print-ready images (larger than 1MB or at least 300dpi) to australia_nz@fashionrevolution.org.
Anyone can show their support for the initiative and the local fashion industry via social media too:
- Download the 'Australian Made' Fashion Revolution Day image for use on social media here; and/or
- Post a selfie on social media wearing your clothes inside out, either showcasing an Australian Made brand with the caption 'I know who made my clothes' or calling out to any brand with the question 'who made my clothes?'
*Dont forget to #whomademyclothes and tag us on Facebook or Instagram @AustralianMadeCampaign or on Twitter @AustralianMade!
