Kate Carnell was appointed as the new CEO of ACCI in May, and was elected to the Australian Made Campaign Board of Directors at its meeting in July.
Kate is well known, having served as the Chief Minister of the ACT from 1995-2000. She is also highly respected in the not-for-profit and business communities, having served two years as CEO of beyondblue and previously four years as CEO of the Australian Food and Grocery Council.
The Board took the opportunity to thank former ACCI CEO and Australian Made Campaign Director, Peter Anderson, for his great contribution to the campaign over the years.
At the meeting the Board also congratulated Ian Harrison on 10 years with Australian Made as Chief Executive.
Ian celebrated a decade’s commitment to Australia’s growers and manufacturers in June. During his time with the organisation, the office was relocated from Canberra to Melbourne, and the AMAG logo repositioned clearly as Australia’s global product symbol – giving country-of-origin information to consumers, wherever they may be, and providing businesses with a powerful marketing tool to highlight in markets everywhere that their products are Australian.
The Australian Made team thanks Mr Harrison for all he has done for the campaign in his tenure thus far.
