The Australian Made in Riverina Murray logo was introduced last week as a new regional initiative recognising the innovation, capability and manufacturing excellence of businesses across the Riverina Murray.
Australian Made Chief Executive Ben Lazzaro said the Australian Made in Riverina Murray initiative provides an opportunity to further showcase the region's manufacturing strengths.
“The Riverina Murray is home to an impressive and diverse manufacturing sector that is making a significant contribution to Australia’s economy and sovereign capability,” he said.
“The Australian Made logo helps licensed businesses communicate their Australian origins and connect with consumers who are actively seeking to support Australian industry.”

The Australian Made in Riverina Murray logo features the trusted green and gold kangaroo logo alongside the ‘Australian Made in Riverina Murray’ descriptor. The Australian Made logo is Australia’s most recognised and trusted country-of-origin certification trademark, providing assurance that a product is genuinely Australian. Only businesses licensed by the Australian Made Campaign can use the logo, and products must meet strict criteria to qualify for certification.
The addition of the Riverina Murray descriptor allows certified manufacturers in the region to highlight both the Australian origin of their products and their connection to one of Australia’s most significant manufacturing regions.
Business NSW Regional Director Serena Hardwick said she was proud to partner with Australian Made to introduce this regional brand.
“It is our job to support businesses in the Riverina Murray, and when we first discussed the opportunity to give local businesses an additional point of difference, it made perfect sense to do so.”
Hosted by Business NSW at Whitton Malt House, the event brought together a diverse range of manufacturers from start-ups and expanding enterprises to long-established national operators. These local businesses came together to share insights, explore opportunities and discuss the challenges shaping the future of regional industry.
One of the Australian Made licensees in attendance was Collier & Miller, which later hosted the Australian Made team for a tour of facilities in Griffith, NSW, where the company manufactures agricultural equipment. Collier & Miller’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities span more than 16,500 square metres and are supported by more than 85 engineers and tradespeople, representing just one example of the talent and capability found throughout the region.

The Australian Made in Riverina Murray logo will not only help consumers make informed purchasing decisions but also provide opportunities to shorten supply chains. According to Business Snowy Valleys, 60% of businesses in the region do not buy local because they are unaware of a local supplier. Initiatives such as the Australian Made in Riverina Murray logo aim to be a helpful asset for businesses to clearly identify local suppliers, shorten supply chains and invest in local economies and communities.
It was encouraging to see so many local manufacturers come together to discuss how regional manufacturers are not only resilient and adaptable but are also critical to Australia’s economic future. From start-ups to established national brands, the Riverina Murray is home to businesses that are proudly making their mark both locally and internationally.
