Australian Made Campaign Limited, the not-for-profit organisation that manages the highly respected Australian Made, Australian Grown logo, has been appointed to lead the new ReMade in Australia program.

The ReMade in Australia program will certify and promote products and construction projects made with recycled materials, right here in Australia, and help consumers and businesses to identify, choose and build demand for recycled content as part of a circular economy.

The Minister for the Environment and Water, the Honourable Tanya Plibersek, and the Minister for Industry and Science, the Honourable Ed Husic, today introduced the logo and program to the Australian public.

While part of the Australian Made family, the ReMade in Australia brand will be administered as a separate entity to the Australian Made Campaign and will not be replacing the iconic green and gold kangaroo but instead function as a separate certification with its own criteria.

The designer of the Australian Made logo, Dr Kenneth Cato, has also designed the logo for the ReMade in Australia brand. The use of the kangaroo silhouette and green-and-gold colour scheme draw a direct connection between the two brands, and the inclusion of circularity and arrows highlights a focus on sustainability and recycling.

Ben Lazzaro, Australian Made Campaign Chief Executive, said the grant for the new brand indicates a positive trend to further sustainable manufacturing in Australia.

“Australian Made is excited to be taking on the development and management of the ReMade in Australia brand. As Australia moves towards a circular economy, ReMade in Australia will offer businesses a way to showcase their ongoing commitment to more sustainable design and manufacturing practices,” said Lazzaro.

“Many Australians want to buy more sustainable products but find it hard to do so due to unclear labelling. ReMade In Australia will help consumers shop with confidence, just as the Australian Made logo has helped to distinguish genuine Australian products for more than 35 years.”

Subject to approvals, ReMade in Australia is expected to launch later in 2025. Businesses interested in certifying products or projects with ReMade in Australia can sign up for launch updates.
