Screen Producers Australia announces the 24th Annual SPA Awards

Australian Made Industry Partner, Screen Producers Australia (SPA), has announced the return of the 24th Annual SPA Awards - a celebration of the creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling excellence that define Australia’s screen industry.

The prestigious event will take place on Thursday, 30 April 2026, closing out the SCREEN FOREVER conference on Queensland’s iconic Gold Coast. The SPA Awards recognise outstanding contributions by SPA members to Australian screen production and are the only awards voted solely by screen businesses, ensuring recognition comes directly from within the industry.

This year’s Awards will honour achievements across twenty categories, including the newly introduced ‘Factual Series Production of the Year’. Other categories span drama, comedy, documentary, animation, short film, reality, and business excellence, reflecting the diversity and strength of Australia’s creative sector.

Entries open Monday 27 October and close Friday 5 December 2025. Finalists will be announced in January 2026 on the SPA Awards website.
