September and October were huge months for Australian sport, with both AFL and NRL footy finals seasons coming to a close with incredible Grand Finals games watched by millions around the country.
If you were following the coverage, you may have seen the green and gold Australian Made kangaroo logo pop up around some of the most popular televised moments of the year.
Australian Made’s latest TV commercial displays the many benefits of buying local products, and the real impacts it has on Australia’s economy, jobs, families, and communities.
The TV commercial was played during the AFL Grand Final’s national broadcast on Channel 7 – which (at the time) broke records to become the most watched program of 2025, with a national reach of 6.1 million and a national total TV audience of 4.08 million, including 969,000 on 7plus Sport.
The TV commercial also appeared during the revered Brownlow Medal count and during AFL Preliminary Finals games. Viewers may have also spotted green and gold “squeezebacks” playing during these games, which encouraged shoppers to look out for the Australian Made logo when shopping, or in-stadium billboards that filled the MCG in green and gold.

The green and gold campaign continued into the world of NRL, with Australian Made’s TV commercial running in the Finals season and a truly incredible Grand Final in early October.
Breaking the AFL’s previous record, the Nine’s national coverage of the NRL Grand Final had a reach of 6.4 million and a national total TV average audience of 4.46 million.
The iconic kangaroo logo also touched down in the stadium itself, appearing inside Accor Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park, and was seen in outdoor advertising around the country.

Australian Made’s Footy Finals campaign served as a great opportunity to highlight the importance of supporting local makers and growers at a high-profile and memorable sporting event.
Keep your eyes peeled on the upcoming Grand Finale of the The Block because the famous green and gold kangaroo may be making another appearance...
