In the wake of a recent announcement from Huggies manufacturer, Kimberly-Clark Australia, stating it will cease production of the brand’s locally produced nappies, Australian Made Chief Executive Ben Lazzaro visited Channel 10 to urge Studio 10 viewers to consider the importance of buying Australian Made.
The TV segment featured nappies produced by Mater Baby Products that continue to be manufactured locally and carry the Australian Made logo; a timely reminder as Huggies halts operations at its Ingleburn Mill.
Mr. Lazzaro told Aussie shoppers that when they buy Australian Made products “you get good quality products; you’re pumping money back into the economy and you’re creating job opportunities for future generations”.
In addition to Mater nappies, a number of everyday items carrying the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo readily available to shoppers featured on screen including:
- Ballantyne spreadable butter
- Rosedale Park Olives olive oil
- Greens General Foods cake mixes
- Cedel toothpaste
- Thongs Australia footwear
- Budgy Smugglers swimwear
- The Mindful Life Australia childrens’ skincare
A timely reminder to shop green and gold
