Australian Made Campaign Chief Executive, Ian Harrison, will address this week’s National Complementary Medicines Australia conference, to encourage local manufacturers to leverage Australia’s reputation for making top quality products, and certify their products as Australian-made.
Australia’s high manufacturing standards result in extremely high quality products, which are well-known for their safety and efficacy, and prominent Australian branding helps local manufacturers leverage that fact.
With Australia’s complementary medicine exports more than doubling in the past five years, Mr Harrison will remind guests that this competitive advantage extends beyond our shores, and prompt manufacturers to consider country-of-origin branding when expanding overseas as well.
The Australian Made logo provides crucial authenticity in the global marketplace, reinforced in recent years by the registration of the mark in China, Singapore, South Korea and the USA, which provides a legal framework for the protection of exporters using the symbol and prevents its misuse.
