The Australian Made Campaign featured at the AMTIL Manufacturers Pavilion at Austech during National Manufacturing Week (NMW) this year.
Austech, held 7-9 May 2013, showcased some of Australia’s best manufacturers and highlighted the capabilities of the country’s advanced manufacturing industry.
“The show featured a broad range of quality, inventive, locally-made technologies,” Australian Made Campaign Chief Executive, Ian Harrison, said.
During National Manufacturing Week Mr Harrison participated in the Manufacturers Monthly Leaders Summit, which saw representatives from a cross-section of the industry discuss the topic ‘How Australian manufacturers can benefit from The Asian Century’.
The Australian Made presence provided an opportunity for local manufacturers to learn more about the Australian Made logo, and the logo also featured prominently at the stands of the Australian Made licensees participating in the event, helping those exhibitors to clearly identify their products as genuinely Australian.
One such exhibitor, Leussink Engineering, was awarded the Global Integration Award at the Manufacturers Monthly Endeavour Awards, which were also held during NMW.
The Australian Made team wishes to congratulate all of the licensees that exhibited at National Manufacturing Week on, what by all accounts was, a hugely successful event.
