The Australian Made Campaign was again a proud supporter of the annual Australian Furniture of the Year Awards, hosted by the Australian Furniture Association (AFA) in August this year.
The awards acknowledge excellence and encourage innovation and design within the furniture industry across the nation.
Australian Made has been a sponsor of the AFA for more than 5 years, and is proud to help support and promote Australia’s furniture and furnishing manufacturers through this ongoing relationship.
The AFA also continues to provide ongoing awareness for the Australian Made campaign in its role as Campaign Associate.
“We will continue to support the AFA for both principally and financially so that it can continue the good work that it carries out,” said Australian Made Chief Executive, Ian Harrison.
“The support the AFA is providing Australian manufacturers is fantastic.
“Furniture, bedding and furnishing manufacturers licensing the Australian Made logo are succeeding because they not only produce the innovative, high quality products that Australian consumers are looking for, matched with excellent customer service; they also market their products accordingly, leveraging the logo that they know consumers are looking for as well. We congratulate the Australian furniture industry for recognising that the logo is more than a certification trademark – it is a powerful marketing tool and should be used as such. It presents local furniture, bedding and furnishing manufacturers with great opportunities to promote goods as Australian and thus gain an important competitive advantage.”
Australian Made congratulates all of the 2013 award winners, with special mention for Australian Made licensees; Accolade Furniture (Excellence in Bedroom Furniture), Design Furniture (Excellence in Lounge Furniture) and Quedos Billiard Tables (Excellence in Manufacturing Design.
