The Australian Made Campaign has teamed up with Brand Power for the creation of an exciting TV advertising platform dedicated to increasing sales of genuine Aussie products.

Founded on Brand Power’s proven marketing principles, the TV advertising platform developed by Buchanan Group provides licensees with the opportunity to promote their Aussie products using Australia’s most recognised and trusted country-of-origin symbol, to drive sales and brand awareness.

Only products certified to carry the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo are eligible to take up this opportunity and be featured in the TV campaigns.

The Australian Made Campaign is committed to providing a number of discounted advertising and promotional opportunities for licensees, and as a result, the rates associated with participation in this initiative are highly competitive.

Shanghai 2019: Australian Made logo in China

On Sunday 2nd June St Kilda Football Club will play Port Adelaide Football Club in Shanghai for Round 11 of the AFL 2019 season. It will be the third annual AFL match played on the Adelaide Arena at Jiangwan Stadium in China.

The event will provide a platform for Australian brands and businesses looking to break into the Chinese market, and an opportunity to expand existing customer bases.

The Australian Made, Australian Grown logo will feature prominently as part of the branding for 'Shanghai 2019', including a number of associated business events.

Match day functions offer an opportunity for businesses to network with Chinese investors and buyers, while promotional activities including in game advertising are available to purchase.

China International Import Expo

Break into the Chinese market at the 2019 CIIE

Australian Made Retail Supporter, Oz-Town, will be hosting an Australian pavilion at the 2019 China International Import Expo (CIIE) and are inviting interest licensees to participate.

The Australian pavilion will be co-branded by the Australian Made Campaign and Oz-Town, providing a platform for Aussie exporters looking to break into, or grow, their market share in China.

More about the CIIE

Hosted by the Ministry of Commerce for the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, CIIE with be held on 5-10 November 2019 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai, China.

Over 200 Aussie brands participated in 2018 with the expo featuring exhibitors across a variety of industries including: food and beverage, consumer electronics, automotive and auto parts, beauty, apparel & clothing and trade services.

According to CIIE’s post-exhibition report, last year the expo welcomed approximately 800,000 attendees, and generated $57.8 billion worth of contracts for 3,617 enterprises across 151 countries.

To meet growing demands this year’s event will see an additional 100,000 m² added to the floor plan, with the CIIE Bureau confirming more than 500 companies from 40+ countries have already registered.

Oz-Town is an Australian owned company, who provides a multi-faceted trade platform to support Australian companies exporting to China.

The Australian Day feature: shinning a light on Aussie inventors

Each year in celebration of Australia Day and in recognition of how important supporting local manufacturers and growers is to our economy, The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald produce an 'Australian Made' feature which is inserted into the Australia Day editions of their newspapers.

Published on a Saturday this year, the 2019 'Australian Made' feature was distributed to a combined readership of 1.16 million, providing an incredible platform for licensees to showcase their Aussie credentials.

The promotional feature contained a number of stories about country of origin issues and Australian Made licensees, as well as the opportunity for licensees to access heavily discounted advertising rates in two major metropolitan newspapers, on a day where celebrating all things Australian was top of mind.

Thongs Australia featured on the cover of this year’s edition and were overwhelmed with the response.

“We received fantastic PR coverage over the Australia Day weekend. As a result, we were inundated with orders” Andrew Kuypers, Director of Thongs Australia said.

The feature is scheduled to run again in 2020, with more details to be released at the end of the year on how licensees can get involved.
