Nominations are now open for the 56th annual Australian Export Awards. This is a national program for recognising outstanding achievement by Australian exporters.
The Australian Made Campaign urges its licensees who export to celebrate their international success by entering the appropriate state program for their Australian operations.
For the 19th consecutive year, the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo will play a central role in the AEA, with AMCL presenting the Manufacturing Award.
AMCL Chief Executive Officer Ian Harrison said it is important Australian exporters are recognised for their substantial contributions to the economy.
“The hard work of Aussie manufacturers onshore and offshore should be recognised, and these state and national export awards provide a perfect platform to do so,” Mr Harrison said.
There are 14 award categories: Manufacturing, Digital Technologies, e-Commerce, Health and Biotechnology, Regional Exporting, Small Business, Emerging Exporters, Agribusiness, Business Services, Creative Industries, Education and Training, Environmental Solutions, Minerals Energy and Related Services, and the Australian Exporter of the Year.
This year's event will again feature the Investment Award, honouring an international company or joint venture making a long-term contribution to Australia's economy - creating jobs, cultivating innovation and facilitating Australian industry expansion within global supply chains.
Businesses enter the AEA through their respective state and territory export award programs.
State and territory winners progress as national finalists, from which the national winner of the 14 categories are chosesn and one category winner will be crowned the Australian Exporter of the Year. This will be announced at a gala dinner in Canberra in November.
The awards are co-presented by Austrade and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Find more information about Australian Export Awards here.
